Engine Repair & Overhaul
Your vehicle’s engine is a critical area and sometimes due to component failure or wear & tear, it will require maintenance & related repairs.
We offer complete and minor engine overhauls and rebuilds, using genuine components in your vehicle. These engine overhauls and repair components are backed with a 3 month/ 10 000km warranty against manufacturing and workmanship defects.
Automatic/Manual Gear box Transmission Repair Overhaul
The drive train connects your vehicle’s engine to the wheels and supplies the power to move forward. These components are subject to excessive forces as modern cars have increased power and torque which causes component failures due to wear & tear. We at Stuttgart Mercedes Center will be able to fix your gear box to allow you to drive smoothly on the road.
Brakes system repairs
Brake pads should be replaced when necessary, as mentioned in the manufacturer’s guideline of your car. Moreover, the frequency of replacing your brake pads depends on how you drive, the type of car you are driving and the conditions you are driving in. For example, if you tend to drive in the city and experience lots of stop and go traffic, you will need to replace your brake pads sooner than if you tend to travel on highways. The material and hardness of your brake pads can also affect how long they will last. Our technicians at Stuttgart Mercedes Center will be able to detect if your brakes need replacements and find you the right pair of brake pads for your car.
How to tell that your brakes are worn out?
You may suspect that your car’s brakes are starting to worn out when you hear or feel the following:
-
A high-pitched squeal
-
A grinding or a hard growl
-
A general squeaking when you stop
-
Pulsation in the pedal
-
Low initial brake bite when applying pedal pressure
-
Steering wheel movement when braking
Once you experience any of these symptoms, do not hesitate to contact Stuttgart Mercedes Center for proper repair. Our technicians are more than qualified to deal with different Mercedes braking systems SBC/ABR/ESP/ABS.
Steering and Suspension Service
Mercedes-Benz steering and suspension system is made up of multiple components: shock absorbers/struts, coil spring, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, and linkage. These all hold the weight of your vehicle and are important to overall stability. Steering and suspension system problems might be a safety hazard and should not be ignored. If you feel your vehicle pulling to one side, feel vibrations, or hear rubbing sounds you should come into Stuttgart Mercedes Center for an inspection. Our experienced technicians will be able to diagnose the issue and give you a recommended solution to make sure there is no damage that could affect your Mercedes-Benz's driving ability.
Air conditioning servicing and repairs
When summer rolls around and your A/C is not efficiently cooling the car, it might need a number of maintenance fixes. The most common issue that requires regular maintenance is having low refrigerant. The refrigerant can be easily fixed by recharging it and cleaning the A/C filter, which will enable the A/C to absorb and release heat, leaving cool air behind.
No matter what the issue with your A/C is, just bring your car to Stuttgart Mercedes Center and our highly qualified technicians will be able to fix it.
Battery and Electrical System Service
A car’s battery is the source of its electrical power to start. Therefore, it is critical to regularly inspect your car’s battery for corrosion, malfunction cable ends, and low performance to determine if the battery needs replacement. At Stuttgart Mercedes Center we will examine your battery and determine if the battery is not performing within specifications and needs to be replaced or recharged. Also, the alternator, starter and charging system will be examined. Any other parts that require repair or replacement will be effectively addressed so you can turn the key with confidence.
Tires, Wheel Balancing and Alignment
Tires are actually the only parts of your vehicle touching the road, so proper inflation, even tread wear and new tires, if necessary, are important.
Wheel alignment consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. A vehicle’s wheels must be perfectly aligned for the vehicle to drive straight or as the steering wheel directs. If the wheels are not aligned, the steering will pull to one side causing the tires to wear unevenly.
Wheel Balancing allows the tires and wheels to spin without causing any vibrations. This is accomplished by checking for any heavy spots on the wheel-tire combination and compensating for it by placing a measured lead weight on the opposite site of the wheel from where the heavy spot is.
If you have noticed the tread on certain tires is lower compared to the others or your steering wheel is pulling to one side, then your tires must be rotated and your wheels aligned before you are faced with tire replacement or a blow-out that leaves you stranded. Additionally, if your steering wheel is vibrating or shaking, it’s time to schedule an appointment for wheel balancing with Stuttgart Mercedes Center.
